Disney, Indiana – Episode 117 – An Educational Christmas

It’s time for the last Disney, Indiana podcast for 2012. But before we say hello to 2013, our hosts need to wrap up their Salute to Shorts series. For December’s segment, they take a look at some of the many educational shorts made by the Walt Disney company over its history. They provide some background and review some of the more interesting ones.

Also this month, Scott and Tracey have some more Christmas related audio from their trip to Walt Disney World earlier this month. Don’t let the singing in the intro scare you away, the music does get much, much better!

Merry Christmas and welcome to Disney, Indiana!

Disney, Indiana – Episode 110 – Wait a Minute, He Doesn’t Wear Shorts!

After a few episodes of talking about their recent trip to the Disneyland Resort, Tracey and Scott move on to a new topic that is near and dear to their hearts. (Well, maybe more like their stomachs, which is near their hearts, right?) It’s character dining at the Disney resorts. They talk about the current offerings on both coasts and share some of their favorite character meal experiences.

It’s also time for September’s Salute to Shorts segment with a look at the short films of one Donald Fauntleroy Duck. Scott and Tracey discuss his first appearance, co-starring with Mickey Mouse and Goofy, his war time service, the introduction of his extended family and finally his battles with Chip and Dale. They also delve into a little of the character’s history at the studio and to celebrate Donald, WWED features several songs about our web footed friend as well.

All this, plus a call over to the Main Street Cinema is yours in episode 110!
