Disney, Indiana – Episode 081 – Tropical Disney Cruise

In today’s episode, Tracey and Scott prepare for their Alaskan Disney cruise by taking a look at the history of the Disney Cruise Line – from the Big Red Boat up to the Dream and the Fantasy. In this month’s Fortieth Flashback segment – our hosts discuss the changes to the Tropical Serenade (aka Enchanted Tiki Room) over the years, including its grand-re-opening this month. They also tune into WWED for some tropical and nautical tunes and wrap up the show with some feedback.

Disney, Indiana hosts crossover to Mail Order Zombie! Tracey joins Brother D and Miss Bren to talk about the 1985 novel The Postman written by David Brin and it’s 1997 film adaptation. Scott appears on the show to talk about the 1969 Roger Zelazny novel Damnation Alley and the 1977 film loosely based on it. Note: Mail Order Zombie has an explicit tag and might not be safe for small mouse ears.

Disney, Indiana – Episode 079 – The Belle of the Presidential Ball

We have a very special guest visiting Disney, Indiana this week. The original Belle from the Broadway production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Susan Egan joins our hosts Tracey and Scott at the Ink and Paint club. While waiting for the show, they talk about Susan’s career including getting her start in show business, playing Belle on Broadway, voicing Megara in Disney’s Hercules, her other Broadway work and musical recordings and her current projects.

After meeting this truly wonderful Disney princess, Tracey and Scott continue their year long celebration of Walt Disney World’s 40th Anniversary with a look at the Hall of Presidents in this month’s 40th Flashback. They share the audio from the original show from 1971 as well as review the attraction’s history and changes over the years.

All this plus a call to the Main Street Cinema to see what Mortis is playing this week, celebrating their third podcasting anniversary and covering some listener feedback.

Your hosts had the great honor of being a part of Window to the Magic episode number 281. The regular host Paul Barrie and his wife Tairy are in the process of moving next door to Disneyland and Shane Roberts – the host of the Communicore Online Podcast sits in to share some adventures from Walt Disney World.

The first audio adventure was recorded by Shane, and the second segment by us during our trip this past spring.
