Disney, Indiana Episode 164 – Plan 9 from Disney, Indiana

We’ve got a little different kind of show on today’s episode. Our hosts, Tracey and Scott, welcome Joe Blevins from the Dead 2 Rights Blog to talk about the 1994 Disney/Touchstone film Ed Wood. Joe brings his knowledge of the man Edward D. Wood, Jr to the discussion of one of Tracey and Scott’s favorite films. The three also take a look at the development and making of Ed Wood and share their thoughts on the film.

Tracey and Scott also check in on Mortis over at the Main Street Cinema and then wrap up the show with some listener feedback and upcoming plans.

Welcome to Disney, Indiana!

Disney, Indiana – Episode 111 – Frankenshawarma

Spectacular! Incredible! Outstanding! (no, those aren’t recent reviews of the podcast).

It’s movie time in Disney, Indiana! Tracey and Scott just picked up the new Blu-ray of Marvel’s The Avengers this week and they are here with a review of all the goodies packed in the release and some ways to get even more out of the experience!

Their movie watching wasn’t restricted to just home video viewing, oh no! They also went out to see the midnight opening of Frankenweenie in 3D IMAX. They’ve got a review of Disney’s latest as well as some of the surprisingly long history of this animated film – all the way back to the original 1984 live action short! Also, if you listen closely, they brought something back from the midnight screening of Frankenweenie and this item will be given away in a new contest!

Our hosts also attempt to get the Main Street Cinema’s popcorn machine fixed with a little help from Sweetleaf (as part of his ongoing community service). Will it succeed? Will the smell of fresh buttery popcorn once again waft through town? Will Mortis be happy? Listen in to find out!

All that, plus a tune into WWED and a small population boom in town as a few new residents check in!

A very special thank you to ‘Dillo from Number 6 Armadillo Avenue here in town and his team for their help with this episode!

Welcome to Disney, Indiana!

Disney, Indiana – Episode 109 – Color Us Forgetful

Our hosts Tracey and Scott are back with more fun from Disneyland. In this episode they ask Buzzy over at WWED to play a recording of the World of Color presentation they attended while out on the west coast.

Also, they have a very special guest in the Ink and Paint Club – Aaron DelPrince, the organizer of the Indy Disney Meet. They talk about the origins of this event, what happens at one, and how it supports Give Kids the World.

And finally, after an unfortunate delay from the last episode, they finally share the Disney apps review sent in by Jay over at 1976 Tron Court here in Disney, Indiana. And speaking of apps, we have a very special announcement from the folks over at the Main Street Cinema on the subject as well!
