We have a very special guest visiting Disney, Indiana this week. The original Belle from the Broadway production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Susan Egan joins our hosts Tracey and Scott at the Ink and Paint club. While waiting for the show, they talk about Susan’s career including getting her start in show business, playing Belle on Broadway, voicing Megara in Disney’s Hercules, her other Broadway work and musical recordings and her current projects.
After meeting this truly wonderful Disney princess, Tracey and Scott continue their year long celebration of Walt Disney World’s 40th Anniversary with a look at the Hall of Presidents in this month’s 40th Flashback. They share the audio from the original show from 1971 as well as review the attraction’s history and changes over the years.
All this plus a call to the Main Street Cinema to see what Mortis is playing this week, celebrating their third podcasting anniversary and covering some listener feedback.
In today’s episode, Tracey and Scott return with another Make Mine Music episode – focusing on theme park music currently heard in Disneyland. They also enjoy one last nautical adventure with this month’s Fortieth Flashback: the Electrical Water Pageant, check in with Mortis on his birthday and discover an obscure Disney Pirate, thanks to a listener.
Avast, me hearties and welcome aboard Episode 74 of the Disney, Indiana podcast. Our hosts turn a weather eye toward the second film in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Dead Man’s Chest from 2006.
Then, after some grog, they present this month’s Walt Disney World 40th Flashback segment with a look at what Florida almost got instead of a Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.
After that, our hosts look at what those scallywag Imagineers have changed in the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction over the years at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
All this and some pirate tunes on WWED.
In upcoming episodes they will continue their look at the Pirates film series, sharing their thoughts on the third film – Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End in two weeks.
In this episode, Scott and Tracey liven up their day by building a recording and broadcasting studio, so they can share their thoughts on the Disney Channel animated series Phineas and Ferb. After turning into some WWED, they return with this episode’s Fortieth Flashback segment where they discuss the Walt Disney World Preview Center. They wrap the episode up with a little feedback.
In today’s episode, Scott and Tracey provide a recap of the first four days of their latest trip to Walt Disney World for Tracey’s birthday and share some audio from the parks. After tuning in for a little WWED, they return with this month’s Fortieth Flashback where they discuss the World Famous Jungle Cruise. Scott and Tracey then wrap up the show with a little feedback and a reminder of the current contest.
